Miranda Jones is a marine scientist specialising in conservation, resource use and the environmental and socio-economic impacts of climate change (www.nereusprogram.org). She is also interested in education and the interaction between art and science in scientific communication. As a biologist Miranda is drawn to, and inspired by, the work of artists who sought to record natural history, in particular John James Audubon, and Edward Lear.
